McConnell (undisclosed) is out for Friday's preseason game against the Bucks, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
McConnell will end up sitting out the entire preseason and there's been no clarity on what's going on with the veteran point guard. If healthy, he projects as Indiana's backup point guard this season.
