The fine print
Terms of Use
Effective July 20, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of hoopsmenu.com and the Hoops Menu email digest (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who may use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Accounts and email
Hoops Menu uses email links or one-time codes instead of passwords. You agree to provide an email address you control, keep access to that account secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. You may not request sign-in messages for another person without permission or use the sign-in system to spam, harass, or disrupt.
Service messages needed to authenticate or manage your account are transactional. The weekly digest is optional; you can turn it off on the account page or use the unsubscribe method in any digest.
Sports information is informational
Hoops Menu provides schedules, scores, standings, injuries, broadcaster information, rankings, travel analysis, commentary, and similar content for general informational and entertainment purposes. Sports data changes quickly and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Confirm important information with the league, team, broadcaster, venue, or ticket seller.
The Service is not sports-betting, financial, medical, travel, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it to place a wager, make a purchase, or make another consequential decision.
Tickets, affiliate links, and third-party services
The Service may link to ticket sellers, broadcasters, leagues, and other third parties. Hoops Menu may earn a commission from some ticket links. A link or ranking is not a guarantee of price, inventory, quality, or availability.
Third-party sites and transactions are governed by their own terms and policies. Hoops Menu is not the seller of tickets and is not responsible for third-party products, services, content, charges, cancellations, refunds, or conduct.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service for lawful, personal use. You may not:
- break any law or infringe another person's rights;
- interfere with, overload, scrape at unreasonable volume, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data;
- bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or technical protections;
- introduce malware or use the Service to send deceptive or unsolicited messages; or
- falsely suggest that you or your product is affiliated with or endorsed by Hoops Menu.
Ownership and trademarks
The Service's original design, software, rankings, analysis, and editorial content are owned by Hoops Menu or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not give you any right to use Hoops Menu names, logos, or branding.
League, team, player, broadcaster, and third-party names, logos, statistics, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Hoops Menu is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, WNBA, their teams, ESPN, Ticketmaster, or any other league, broadcaster, or ticket seller unless expressly stated.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you give us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to use and adapt it without restriction or compensation, while you keep any rights you already have in it.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We may limit or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties; investigate misuse; comply with law; or enforce these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Hoops Menu disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoops Menu and the people involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Hoops Menu to use the Service during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
General terms
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Hoops Menu about the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date. By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
