The Storm announced Friday that Samuelson underwent successful left knee surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

Seattle's frontcourt takes another hit after losing Ezi Magbegor to a torn ACL on Thursday. Samuelson had a delayed start to the year due ACL surgery recovery, averaging 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 15.3 minutes per contest over 32 games this season. The Storm should lean more heavily on Stefanie Dolson, Mackenzie Holmes and Taylor Thierry the rest of the way.

How it's counted

Each situation shows this player's numbers in those games, with the difference from their full-season line in parentheses. The definition sits under each situation name. Situations overlap: one game can count in several.

True shooting is one shooting number that folds in threes and free throws; its differences are in points of TS%. Every final box score counts — there is no minutes cutoff. Fewer than 5 games reads as a small sample. These splits describe what happened. They do not prove the schedule caused it.
