What the columns mean
#
Rank on the column the board is sorted by, 1 = most. The rank belongs to the team, not the row, so flipping to low-to-high counts down to #1 at the foot. Ties share a rank.
Worst stretch
The dates of the team's hardest run of consecutive games — its first game to its last.
Games
Games in the stretch, and how many of them are on the road. Neutral floors do not count as road games.
Opp margin
The average point differential the stretch's opponents posted last season. An opponent with no prior-season row counts as zero.
Avg fatigue
The stretch's mean Fatigue Index — rest, the prior travel leg, body-clock shift, schedule density, and road games, scored 0–10 a night.
Score
0–100 for the stretch: opponent strength and average fatigue, min-max normalized across every stretch in the league and blended 60/40.
Easiest stretch
The same team's softest run — its score and the dates it falls on.

The extremes

The toughest stretch

The Portland Trail Blazers' hardest stretch: Nov 19 – Dec 7, scoring 93.4 — 7 of the 10 on the road, opponents averaging +3.9 a night, a 5.4 average Fatigue Index.

The softest stretch

The Atlanta Hawks' easiest stretch: Feb 5 – Mar 1, scoring 7.3 — 3 of the 10 on the road, opponents averaging −6.3 a night, a 1.9 average Fatigue Index.

How it's counted

Every run of 10 consecutive games in a team's season is one stretch.

Each is scored on two things: the average point differential its opponents posted in 2024-25, and the average Fatigue Index of its 10 nights. Both are min-max normalized across every stretch in the league, then blended 60% opponent strength and 40% fatigue into a 0–100 score, so 100 is the league's single hardest run and 0 its softest.

An opponent with no prior-season row — an expansion team, or the league's first analyzed season — counts as a league-average opponent, a margin of zero.

Teams with fewer than 10 games on the schedule have no stretches and do not appear. The score measures schedule tax, not outcomes: it is not a prediction of how a team will play.
