Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello indicated Sunday that Sykes (foot) isn't close to returning to game action, Ian Finlayson of Sportsnet reports.
Sykes has been sidelined since June 16 due to a plantar fascia injury and has recently taken part in individual activities during practice, but it seems the veteran is still a long way from returning to game action. Her extended absence has been notable for the Tempo, as Sykes averaged 20.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 15 contests before being hampered by injury.
